Are you looking for an opportunity to volunteer through the European Solidarity Corps?
Join us in Snagov, Romania, and become part of a dedicated team working to create positive change in the local community.
By participating in this project, you’ll develop a broad range of skills and competencies—from communication and teamwork to adaptability and civic engagement. These soft and life skills will support your personal and professional growth long after the project ends.

WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A VOLUNTEER
Volunteers will be actively involved at the A4ACTION Youth Center. The first week will serve as an introduction to A4ACTION’s activities and projects, the European Solidarity Corps program, the local community, fellow volunteers, and project activities.
As part of this project, volunteers will:
- Organise and implement non-formal activities at the A4ACTION Afterschool program such as: outdoor activities, English lessons, arts & crafts, personal development etc.;
- Organize and implement workshops and activities in local schools in Snagov commune, such as: cultural events, civic involvement workshops, green practices and environmental education, digital skills development etc.
- Create promotional videos to promote the ESC program and the NGO’s activities
- Contribute to the development of the A4ACTION Online Youth Center
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
- The volunteers will participate in short workshops and training sessions covering various topics (non-formal education, working with kids, facilitation, first aid training etc.) to support the effective execution of their activities.
- Additionally, volunteers will participate in On Arrival Training and Mid Term Evaluation hosted by the National Agency in Romania.

PROFILE OF THE SELECTED VOLUNTEERS
- Aged between 18 and 30 years old;
- Unemployed at the time of selection;
- Responsible and reliable;
- Communicative, friendly, and positive attitude;
- Interested in the theme of the project;
- Capable of preparing and leading activities;
- Eager to contribute to the development of the A4ACTION Youth Centre;
- Resident of an EU country;
- Good knowledge of English;
- Motivated and ready to be actively involved in the local
BENEFITS OF THE VOLUNTEERS
- Transport Cost Reimbursement: Travel expenses (to Romania and back to your home country) will be reimbursed according to distance bands and ESC guidelines.
- Pocket & Food Money: Volunteers will receive pocket money and food money in line with ESC guidelines.
- Accommodation: Volunteers will stay in shared accommodation with other volunteers. The accommodation is conveniently located with easy access to public transportation and shops. It is fully equipped with modern amenities, including Wi-Fi, furniture, beds, cutlery, and essential toiletries.
- Romanian Lessons: Volunteers will participate in weekly Romanian lessons for the first three months of the project.
- Medical Insurance: Volunteers will be covered by the Henner Insurance Plan throughout the volunteering period. This insurance will cover medical expenses not covered by the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
- Mentorship: Volunteers will receive support from a mentor who will assist with learning and personal development throughout the volunteering experience.
- Youthpass Certificate: All participants will receive a Youthpass certificate, which recognizes their learning in areas such as cultural awareness, teamwork, digital competence, and entrepreneurship.

The pre-selected candidates will receive an email from the project coordinator with instructions to complete an application form. The final candidates will be contacted via email for setting up a Zoom interview.
