Are you looking for an opportunity to volunteer through the European Solidarity Corps?
Are you passionate about working with children and eager to be part of an international team dedicated to creating positive change in a local community? This is your chance to make a difference!
A4ACTION invites you to take part in an exciting and meaningful project in Snagov, Romania, where you’ll have the opportunity to work with children, organize interactive activities, and contribute to their learning and development in a fun, creative environment.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES
Through non-formal education activities, creative workshops, and intercultural learning, the project aims to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where children and volunteers can learn, develop new skills, and enjoy their summer holidays.
The volunteers will have the opportunity to:
- be equipped with practical skills in non-formal education and working with children;
- plan, implement, and evaluate educational and recreational activities;
- develop communication, teamwork, and leadership skills in a multicultural environment;
- improve intercultural competencies through daily interaction with international and local volunteers;
- reflect on their learning process and personal development with the support of a mentor.

WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A VOLUNTEER
Volunteers will be actively involved at the A4ACTION Youth Center from Monday to Friday implementing activities for the A4ACTION Summer School program. As part of the Summer School Program, volunteers will:
- Plan and lead engaging activities such as: outdoor games, English lessons, arts & crafts, personal development workshops, movie screenings, water fights, excursions, and more;
- Develop activity plans to ensure each session is well-organized;
- Capture photos and videos during activities for A4ACTION’s website and social media;
- Create weekly reports for parents and social media, summarizing key activities and including photos/videos;
- Handle administrative tasks, such as filling out reports, developing activity plans etc.
- Write an article about their volunteering journey, sharing insights and experiences from the project.
The first week will serve as an introduction to A4ACTION’s activities and projects, the European Solidarity Corps program, the local community, fellow volunteers, and the Summer School schedule.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
- The volunteers will participate in workshops and training sessions on non-formal education and working with children.

PROFILE OF THE SELECTED VOLUNTEERS
- Aged between 18 and 30 years old;
- Unemployed at the time of selection;
- Responsible and reliable;
- Communicative, friendly, and positive attitude;
- Interested in the theme of the project;
- Capable of preparing and leading activities;
- Eager to contribute to the development of the A4ACTION Youth Centre;
- Resident of an EU country;
- Good knowledge of English;
- Motivated and ready to be actively involved in the local community.
BENEFITS OF THE VOLUNTEERS
- Transport Cost Reimbursement: The travel expenses (to Romania and back to your home country) will be reimbursed according to distance bands and ESC guidelines.
- Pocket & Food Money: The volunteers will receive a pocket and food allowance in line with the ESC guidelines.
- Multicultural Team: The volunteers will have the opportunity to work in a diverse international team, gaining valuable cultural exchange and collaboration experience.
- Medical Insurance: The volunteers will be covered by the Henner Insurance Plan throughout your volunteering period. This insurance will cover any medical expenses not covered by the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
- Mentorship: The volunteers will receive support from a mentor who will assist with your learning and personal development throughout your volunteering experience.
